From 17 to 19 May, UEMOA organised the 4th meeting of the Regional Consultative Committee for Agricultural Sectors (CCRFA) in Ouagadougou. Under the theme of "Strengthening the involvement of agricultural professional actors in the implementation of the UEMOA Agricultural Policy (PAU)," the meeting brought together members of the Network of Farmers' and Agricultural Producers' Organisations of West Africa (ROPPA), several sub-regional and national professional organisations, government representatives and technical and financial partners. The meeting focused on the role of professional sectors and their structuring in agricultural development in the region, highlighted the need to develop a guidance document on the establishment of inter-professional organisations in the agricultural sector. The meeting also provided an opportunity for participants to learn about new orientations given to the UEMOA agricultural within the framework of the Ten-year Community Programme for Agricultural Transformation for Food and Nutrition Security in UEMOA (PCD-TASAN).
